Late in the afternoon on Mother's Day, we decided to sit out back on the deck, enjoy the green of spring and sip a lemon drop martini.
You'll find many recipes for this, but the following is how I made it.
1 1/2 ounces Absolut Citron
1/2 ounce lemoncello (but you can use grand marnier if that's what you have!)
1/2 teaspoon Agave nectar
3/4 ounce freshly-squeezed lemon juice and some grated lemon zest (preferably with some sort of microplane zester)
Ice cubes
Organic sugar for dipping
Mix and shake the first four ingredients, wet rim of glass and dip in the sugar, put ice cubes in glass and pour vodka mix into your glass.
A perfect late afternoon cocktail on a perfect spring day!
