Hard to believe isn't it? I hope you all had a wonderful celebration last night, whether it was with a crowd or just up close and personal. Nick and I opted for the latter. We had lobster risotto with a green salad, and a nice bottle of white wine. I'm sure I was asleep by 10:05. Pathetic, I know.
Beth, Jim and kids have been in Killington for 2 days, and will be returning shortly. Dinner tonight will be with them plus our good friends, Roger and Martha. Beth and group will leave in the morning for New Jersey. Even though we spent Christmas with them, it has been fun having them here.
My sister, JoAnne, gave me these trees that she made for Christmas. I love their whimsical look. The pinched vase next to them with the paper white bulbs is something she made also, that she gave to me on my birthday. I think they look right at home on the mantle!
I haven't made any resolutions yet. I think I've never made one that I actually followed through with. Maybe I'll go easy on myself and to avoid any disappointment, make no resolutions this year. How about you?
JoAnne is so talented, I love the trees, she needs to sell her creations. My Mom always gave me bulbs at Christmas in an unusual planter, I miss that. Hope your dinner with everyone was fun, we talked today about last NYE at your house. It was a great evening. We watched the ball drop in NYC, but went to bed before 2010 in Mn. Oh well.
