In anticipation of the BIG rain storm we had yesterday, on Sunday Nick and I grabbed shovels and dug out all the snow that had filled the ditch we dug around the perimeter of the yard this past fall.
Late in the day on Saturday, we went for a walk out back. The weather was mild and the late afternoon sun was glorious.
So after a day of unbelievable rain, how did our ditch do?
As you can see, it was a success.
The only telltale signs that there had once been snow, were the tracks left by skis from guests early in January.
Wow! Would have never guessed there was so much snow, and then none! Great pictures!

What the heck happened? I can't believe that you had all that snow and then GONE in 24 hours?
I can't wait to sit on that zen bench with you in October.
A special "Hi" to Terri, through your blog, I'm sorry we have not talked, it's been a crazy couple of weeks here, the good news is Noah's home!!!

I enjoy your posts so much, June. Such beautiful pictures and you live in a gorgeous area. No wonder you and Nick look so fit - that's a lot of digging!

It's amazing that all of that snow disappeared so quickly. Looks like you had your work cut out for you in the digging project.
I love the sky in your first picture.

The pictures almost smell like Spring with the snow gone. Don't get to comfortable, I am sure there a few more flakes left in the sky. Beautiful pictures, June.
