Every year in September, the Addison County United Way has volunteer opportunities for the community. It's called "Days of Caring." This year more than 600 people from my county signed up. Some of the jobs were working with kids, helping out with painting, preparing meals, library work – well you name it, and it was available. I signed up to work at Project Independence at Elderly Services. I participated in their activities - reading, singing and playing horseshoes. It was a great day.
So, just let me say this. If you have some time, get out there and volunteer. It's one of the most rewarding things you can do. Hey, I bet you'll look as happy as I did!
Against his will, Dad starts going there tomorrow. I know he'll learn to like it. You are awesome but, I already knew that! xxox

Looks like you had a good time. I am sure the "oldsters" enjoyed having you for the day.
