Nick and took a ride to the lake the other day. Lake Champlain is not far from our house. The western shore is in New York and the eastern is Vermont. Way up north is Canada. The views from either side of the lake are spectacular. Here are a few.
There were quite a few white caps whipping out there. Those are the New York Adirondack Mountains to the west.

And we passed this plox field on the way home. The sun gave the flowers a brilliant glow.
It was a perfect day; that is until a storm blew through and we lost our electricity for about 7 hours. Good thing the restaurants were open and operating in Middlebury!
