It's that time again. Every early February we travel to the University of Vermont, not far from our home, to watch the Banff Film Festival. It is, to say the least, exhilarating. This film festival (they range from a minute to 45 minutes in length) held in the town of Banff in Calagary, Canada each year, draws outdoor film producers of all ages. The films are outdoor sports and cultural in nature. My friend, Caryn, is who introduced me to this amazing film festival. I know I've been going for more than 10 years and will go 10 more if they continue to have it at UVM. There is only one downside. They used to hold in in a library called Billings, which had great stadium seating. Now it is held in the Ira Allen Chapel and well, you get the picture...sitting in a hard wooden pew for 2 plus hours. Just the same, it is a wonderful festival. And since it's held all over the world and U.S., you too can probably go some place local to see it. So check it out...and that's an order!
And here is a picture of my sister-in-law Terri, and I on top of Mt. Madison in the White Mountains several years ago – in case you're wondering why I love to go see these films.
wow, did that bring back memories, good ones. I was convinced Nick was trying to kill me! I so wish we were joining you both at the film festival, that too brings back memories. Have fun. :)

So, which night were you at Banff? We were there with Ryan (after margaritas and good Mexican at Menores in Burlington). We are not too excited about the chapel seating, especially the tall heads in the way, and the rather warm temperatures! But the films are still terrific!
